Can You Help Me Out?

So I’m doing this thing tomorrow where I have to actually talk. Out loud. In front of a lot of people. Not behind a computer screen or from the safety of my couch – which, in case you were wondering, is not in my comfort zone. As a matter of fact, it’s so far outside my comfort zone, that I may as well be visiting another country.

Not only that, but I have to teach something…in the Bible. Which means I can’t just make up whatever I want – it has to actually be true. Really really true (because, God’s Word). Now, I don’t usually make up the things I share here, but I certainly have the option to lean heavily on my own perspective.

And not only THAT, but lately I have developed a mysterious allergy that causes my lips to swell. Like a duck. Like a lopsided duck, because of COURSE they wouldn’t swell evenly. That would be too easy, and less shocking as well.

AND NOT ONLY THAT, but that same mysterious allergy also gives me hives for no apparent reason. Or maybe for stress. Or maybe for fabric softener. Really I have no idea, that’s why it’s a mystery.

So as you’re saying your nighttime prayers, or your morning prayers, or your middle of the day because God is always listening prayers, could you maybe say a prayer for me?

That I will speak clearly, concisely, truthfully and engagingly…and won’t look like an itchy, lopsided duck at the same time. Oh yes, also that I look like I know what I’m talking about. Because no one wants to listen to a confused duck.

Thanks, friends!
